Signed on Friday.Delivering, and billing, on Monday.

A signed contract becomes a project with its value as the budget. Plan milestones, run tasks on a board, log time with a timer, approve it, and bill by milestone, by amount or by the hour without leaving the client's record.

How it works

From signed contract to billed work in four steps

Every project belongs to a lead, so sales history and delivery sit on the same record.

01

Start the project

Click Create Project on a signed contract, or switch on automatic creation. The contract value becomes the budget. Or start from a template.

Create Project
02

Plan the work

Add milestones with due dates and amounts, then tasks with owners, priorities and due dates on a Kanban board.

Add Milestone
03

Log and approve time

The team logs time with a running timer or manual entries and submits it. Approvers approve or reject with a reason.

Submit for approval
04

Bill as you deliver

Invoice completed milestones, a deposit against the budget, or approved hours. Each invoice opens as a draft.

What's in Projects and delivery

Everything a delivery team needs after the signature

Projects from contracts

A signed contract becomes the project, named after it, with its value as the budget. One project per contract.

Project templates

Save phases, tasks, estimated hours and checklists once, then start every similar project from them.

Milestones

Plan the phases on a list, a Gantt chart or a calendar. Each milestone can carry an amount to bill.

Task board

Tasks with owners, due dates and priorities, dragged across a Kanban board.

Team and rates

Each person gets a project role and an hourly rate, so logged hours are valued as they go.

Timer and time log

Start a timer from the project and stop it from any page, or add a manual entry.

Timesheet approvals

Submit the week, approve in bulk, or send entries back with a reason.

Client files and discussions

Share chosen files in the client portal and keep team discussions on the project.

Three things teams switch for

Billing

Bill by milestone, by amount or by the hour

The Invoicing tab bills completed milestones, a deposit or progress amount against the budget, or unbilled approved hours. Each invoice opens as a draft due in 30 days, ready to send from Invoices.

  • Bill an unfinished milestone up front as a deposit, with a warning
  • Amounts can never exceed the budget left to bill
  • Only approved time can be billed
  • Billed time entries are locked

Essentials, Growth and Scale.

Timesheets

Approve the week before it hits an invoice

Entries move from Draft to Submitted to Approved or Rejected. Approvers work through Pending approvals one by one or in bulk, and the weekly page totals billable hours and their value.

  • Approve selected: up to 500 entries at once
  • Reject: a reason is required
  • Weekly view: by project, task, person or day
  • Export CSV for the week
Hand-off

No re-keying between sales and delivery

Projects belong to the lead, so the deal history, contract and invoices stay on one record. Switch on automatic creation and the project opens the moment the client signs.

  • Contract value becomes the budget and the project bills at a fixed price
  • Restricted users see only their own projects
  • Archive finished work and restore it any time
FAQ

Questions about Projects and delivery

Which plans include projects?

Projects and timesheets are on Essentials, Growth and Scale.

Can I change a project's billing type?

Not on the project. New projects bill by the hour unless they come from a template with another type or from a signed contract with a value, which bills at a fixed price.

Which currency is the budget in?

US dollars. Projects do not take a currency yet.

Can I invoice more than the budget?

No. If the scope grows, raise the budget first, then bill.

Can I bill hours that are not approved?

No. Approve them under Delivery → Timesheets → Pending approvals, then generate the invoice.

Can I log time outside a project?

No. Every entry belongs to a project, and each person runs one timer at a time.

Can clients see the project?

They see files you mark visible in the client portal. Tasks, time and discussions stay internal.

Can I track expenses?

Through the API only for now. Billable expenses are not added to invoices automatically; add them as a line yourself.
