Prefer it hands-free? Settings → General → Automation can create the invoice when an estimate is accepted, draft the contract when a proposal is accepted and create the project when a contract is signed. All three are off until you switch them on.

Straight answers

Can I bill monthly retainers?

Not from the app yet. There is no recurring-invoice control in the invoice editor. For now, bill a fixed amount against the project budget with Bill an amount on the project's Invoicing tab.

Can I bill expenses back to the client?

Not from the app yet. Add them as a line item on the invoice for now.

Which plans include this?

Estimates, proposals, contracts, projects and timesheets are on Essentials, Growth and Scale. Tickets and the knowledge base are on Growth and Scale. Invoices and online payments are on every plan, including Solo.

Which currencies can I invoice in?

Invoices support USD, EUR, GBP, INR, CAD, AUD, SGD and AED. INR invoices are paid through Razorpay, others through Stripe.
