Set it up
- Open Settings → Import from CRM.
You need the Edit settings permission.
- Choose Close.
- Paste your Close API key and click Test connection.
You will see your Close organisation's name. The key is stored encrypted.
- Tick what to import.
Leads, contacts, activities, tasks, opportunities and lead details such as owner and address.
- Click Start import.
You will see "Import in progress" and the current phase.
- Check the results.
Created, skipped and error counts are shown for each phase.

Common questions
How long does it take?
Leads move quickly. Activities and opportunities can take 30 to 60 minutes for a large account.
Will it create duplicates if I run it twice?
No. Each record remembers its Close ID.
Who owns the imported leads?
The person running the import, until the lead-details phase sets the Close owner.
Will workflows fire for imported leads?
No. Imported records do not start workflows or send webhooks.
